Outdoor Cragging

We are surrounded by amazing natural rock climbing areas. These photos show just a few of the best: Wasootch Crag, Sunshine Crag, and Yamnuska Bluffs.

We had a great fall season for cragging, with the last one being -- believe it or not -- on October 31st at Yamnuska Bluffs. "Yam Bluffs" is perfect for cold season climbing because it sits a bit above the valley floor, faces SSE, and is a fairly well sheltered by trees from the breezes.

Since the cold weather has hit we've retreated indoors to one of the three amazing climbing gyms in easy striking distance from our school.
