Introducing: Project NOWE!

Project NOWE (Nakoda Outdoor Wilderness Education) is an experiential, outdoor education program at Morley Community School, which is under the Stoney Education Authority in Morley, Alberta.

Situated at the junction of Kananaskis and Bow Rivers at the foot of the Canadian Rockies, Morley is positioned as the ultimate springboard for just about any mountain adventure: world class canoeing, kayaking, hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing, skiing and skating are literally on our doorstep.

The youth involved with Project NOWE are Stoney-Nakoda First Nations. They have grown up here and have family roots going back hundreds of year, generations, on this land.

Teachers are Amy Sagan and Tom Wolfe, both of whom have spent years working at Morley School on the reserve.

A big Thank-you to our partner assocations: Camp Chief Hector, Outward Bound, Sally Borden Center, The Banff Center, University of Calgary Outdoor Program, Elevation Place, members of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, Aquabatics, GearUp, and the Mary Tidlund Foundation. Individuals deserving of special thanks for going above and beyond the call of duty include: Genevieve Soler (Morley Community School), Simon Coward (Aquabatics), Doug Saul (Camp Chief Hector YMCA), Chris Neve (Sally Borden, Banff Center), Scott McKay (Elevation Place), Albi Sole (University of Calgary), Mike Meilecke (GearUp), Colin Funk (The Banff Center)
